A third party company has already started to accept pre-orders for custom faceplates for the PS5. As the release of the PS5 gets nearer, the hype for the next-gen console has only gotten bigger. 

In Sonys’ recent release of a video showcasing a full breakdown of the Playstation 5 console, they provided measurements of the different parts of the console, including the faceplates which we saw could be easily detached from the main body. So it is only natural for third party products to start popping out the woodworks.

The Platestation 5 site has opened up pre-orders for custom faceplate designs for the new console. 

It offers many design options: Cherry Red, Chromatic, Indigo Blue, Jungle Camo, and Limited Edition V1 Matte Black. With each priced at $39.99.

The websites team says the idea started with wanting to provide the PlayStation community with a matte-black finish for the console because it is what it believed the community deserved. Thanks to encouragement from their own community and manufacturers, we got more customized colors. Who knows maybe we will get more options in the future.

Because they are still in the pre-order stage there is no way to know if they got the right size to fit the PS5 or if they provide the products they promise. At least not until they start shipping.
